Cheyenne Frontier Days Wild Horse Race Entries to be taken June 6, 2008

Cheyenne (CFD) -- Entries for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Wild Horse Race can be made in-person Friday, June 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at CFD Headquarters, Frontier Park. 

Entries can also be made by phone, by calling (307) 778-7208.

The entry fee is $375 per team.  Entries for the first 45 teams will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

So you may be asking, what exactly is a Wild Horse Race?

Well, when they shoot off the starting gun, all kinds of chaos begins. Six teams of three each attempt to saddle and ride an unbroken horse around the track. You can imagine the craziness that ensues. People are always asking themselves "why" in an event like this.

Cheyenne Frontier Days Accepting Matched Horse Race and Mare & Colt Race Entries

Cheyenne (CFD) -- Matched Horse Race and Mare & Colt Race entries are now being accepted for the 2008 "Daddy of 'em All."

The entry fee for the Matched Horse Race is $50.00; race will run daily, Saturday, July 19 - 26.

The entry fee for the "Dinner Bell Derby" Mare & Colt Races is $15.00; race will run daily, Saturday, July 19 - 26.
